The objectives of the field workshop were: (a) To provide field experience interpreting the response of aquatic vegetation to water level manipulation under both fresh and saline water regimes. (b) To improve our understanding of marsh ecology with particular emphasis on phenology of the emergent deep marsh community. (c) To discuss strategies for water level manipulation on D.U. projects.
