Revisions to the Alberta wetland inventory and rating system / A. Ritter ... [et al.].
Material type: TextPublication details: Ducks Unlimited Canada, 1980.Description: 38 [8] p. : ill. ; 28 cmSummary: An active wetland reconnaissance program has now been firmly established in Alberta. The wetland inventory and rating system originally developed in 1978 (Ritter, 1978) and revised in 1979 (Ritter,1979) has now been used in evaluating over 400 wetland reconnaissances and has been used by four different biologists in the field. This degree of use has tested the original proposal and has indicated some of its errors and weaknesses. Discussions during 1980 amongst those using the form focused on these errors and weaknesses and resulted in a review of particular sections requiring improvement in order to make them more objective, easier to evaluate in the field and/or to better reflect what was being observed. In this last regard, data accumulated during the reconnaissance program provides a base or norm with which wetlands can be compared.Item type | Current library | Collection | Call number | Status | Date due | Barcode |
