Saskatchewan conservation easement legislation: a Ducks Unlimited Canada position paper Gary Goodwin

By: Material type: TextTextPublication details: Oak Hammock Marsh : Ducks Unlimited CanadaOnline resources: Abstract: The environment has come under increased pressure over the last few decades from the growing needs of society. The distribution of scarce environmental resources between competing uses inevitably results in conflict. Some aspects of this conflict can be alleviated by integrating what would superficially appear to be mutually exclusive uses. Allowing multiple uses on a single parcel of land, not to the detriment of any of those uses, in actuality forms the basis of sustainable development.Although sustainable development has a very broad definition, this paper recommends achieving sustainable land use through conseration easement legislation.
