Most lands must meet certain conditions with respect to biological requirements for waterfowl before being acquired or accepted by DU. Land that does not meet DU conservation vision criteria could be sold, so long as the donor understands that the land would not be retained. This document serves as a convenient guide to what is possible. Its major purpose is to inform and educate landowners, advisors, government officials, NGO's, the general public and others about the myriad of ways to support private conservancy. We also hope that seeds will be planted and individuals and organizations will be encouraged to partner in conservation with Ducks Unlimited. Each topic begins with a description, followed by advantages and disadvantages. Any references to income tax law are applicable throughout Canada.
