Education is one means of modifying human behaviour and attitudes towards conservation. Therefore, in late 1998 Ducks Unlimited struck a staff Education Task Force (ETF) to recommend how an education program might be used to help achieve DU's mission. In mid 2000 their findings were tabled with executive staff and subsequently the Education Committee. This final report was approved October 14, 2001 by the Board of Directors to guide the implementation of DU's future education program.
