Ducks Unlimited Canada,Description: 40 p. : ill. ; maps ; 28 cmOnline resources: Abstract: Evaluation of the cookie-cutter, a barge-like apparatus designed for removing emergent vegetation, was continued in 1979 on several Ducks Unlimited (Canada) projects in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and the Maritimes. The longevity of channels in School Bay of the Delta Marsh (Manitoba) appears to be directly related to their exposure to wave action. Numbers of breeding pairs per km of channel range from 1.3 at Steeprock (Manitoba) to 5.6 at Paunchy Lake (New Brunswick). Widely fluctuating water levels at Steeprock seemed to be responsible for the low pair density.Item type | Current library | Collection | Call number | Status | Date due | Barcode |
