In addition, over the five-year period Ducks Unlimited had become one of the most familar conservation organizations in Canada, as well as the most trusted and respected. As a follow-up to the 1995 research, Ducks Unlimited commissioned the Angus Reid Group to monitor Canadian's environmental awareness and perceptrions to determine what, if any, changes have occurred in the last three years. The 1998 research was also designed to focus more intently on issues related to the public's donating habits and preferences.
