However, concerns have been raised repeatedly about the health of the marsh and its ability to support wildlife populations. There is also concern about the fish community of the marsh. Delta Marsh is the largest marsh on the periphery of Lake Manitoba and has been suggested to be important to the commercial fisheries of the lake. This report comprises a review of all fish related studies on the marsh. Most information is found in unpublished theses and reports of undergraduate and graduate students supported by the University of Manitoba Delta Marsh Field Station or the Delta Waterfowl and Wetlands Research Station. The provincial and federal governments have not been involved in fish studies on the marsh.
