By: Contributor(s): Material type: TextTextPublication details: 1959. Bureau of Sport Fisheries and Wildlife,Description: 1 v. : ill. ; 28 cmOnline resources: Abstract: Procedure for removing most of the memory and prestige response bias errors from reported seasonal bagged and unretrieved ducks, geese and coots. The following steps are arranged in chronological order in which the procedure is carried out: 1. Segregate the survey response data for each area of interest having different daily bag limits. 2. Prepare a freehand curve on three or four cycle semi- logarithmic graph paper from the data by following the steps indicated below. The Y axis (left-hand vertical axis) will be used to indicate the number of hunters, while the X axis (horizontal lower) will be used to indicate the seasonal bag size class frequency for the number of ducks, geese or coots reported. Where the number of hunters in the sample exceeds 100, it is recommended that 4 cycle paper be used.
