By: Material type: TextTextPublication details: MB : 1981-1982.Description: 2 v. (various pagings) ; 28 cmOnline resources: Abstract: Drought conditions which prevailed over much of western Canada throughout 1980, persisted into the spring and early summer of 1981.These climatic conditions rendered many prairie marshes susceptible to late summer botulism outbreaks. Recognizing this threat, Ducks Unlimited (DU) Senior Staff determined at the 1981 drought contingency meeting, that the company would commit resources to the same extent as in 1980,towards botulism monitoring and cleanup during 1981. The 1981 botulism contingency program was again to be a co-operative venture with the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the Canadian Wildlife Service (CWS). Following communication from Sandy Macaulay to Senior government staff, it fell to the field staff to work out the details of the program.
