The UMA Group,Description: (i) 11 (9) p. : ill. , maps ; 28 cmOnline resources: Abstract: Ducks Unlimited (Canada) is proposing to regulate water levels throughout the Carrot River Triangle at higher average levels than have occurred under natural conditions. This has provided local groups with some basis for questioning the impact of these higher water levels on spring flood levels and groundwater levels to the south of the Triangle. The main areas of concern appear to be: 1. What is the impact on flood levels, say the 1974 and/ or the 1979 historic flood events, of maintaining certain Full Supply Levels in the Carrot River Triangle prior to the flood occurring. We would also assess the impact of no impoundments in the Carrot River Triangle on flood levels. 2. If extensive farming of the Carrot River Triangle were to occur, what increase in dyke heights would be necessary to eliminate Carrot River flooding of the area; also what would be the cost of providing this protection. 3. What would be the impact of raised water levels in the Carrot River Triangle on groundwater le
