This has provided local groups with some basis for questioning the impact of these higher water levels on spring flood levels and groundwater levels to the south of the Triangle.The main areas of concern appear to be: 1. What is the impact on flood levels, say the 1974 and/ or the 1979 historic flood events, of maintaining certain Full Supply Levels in the Carrot River Triangle prior to the flood occurring.
