By: Contributor(s): Material type: TextTextPublication details: AB : 1988. Ducks Unlimited Canada,Description: 1 v. (various pagings) : ill. (some col.) , map ; 28 cmOnline resources: Abstract: The main objectives of the CADD proposal were as follows in order of priority: 1. Develop AutoCAD for a typical DU drafting center (which could be personalized/customized by other centers to meet their particular needs) to the greatest extent possible in a six month period, and then provide a current quantitative comparison of new versus old system ($/staffdays). 2. Expand on AutoCAD interaction with existing DTM systems (i.e. area-capacity curve generating subroutine). 3. Experiment with expanded use of the PC/AutoCAD system with other engineering design, quantity, optimization possibilities and quantify where possible the $ and stafftime savings. Examples may ultimately include earthwork optimization in damsite and/or channel locations, and interaction between DTM, AutoCAD and other existing programs such as Hec 11.
