After analysis of the results, it has been found that the use of an A.T.V.pulling a section of harrows to prepare a proper seed bed produces the best results. A full description of this technique is outlined in Wark,1981. Due to the large expense and large amount of mechanical breakdown time encountered using this traditional method, it was decided that a new technique should be tried on an experimental basis. This new method, called hydro seeding, allows the seed and fertilizer to be dispensed through a water hose by way of a pump system.
