The data were gathered by Ducks Unlimited in the summers of 1959 and 1960. A general description of the area and the relationship with water areas over 50 acres in size is given. The sport and other recreational aspects of these areas is also discussed. The importance of wetlands to wildlife is evaluated and suggestions made for management. Watershed problems as they affect wildlife are presented with some recommendations for solution. An annotated list of the marshes inspected is included and appendices dealing with wetland classification, methods of inspection and sample instruction sheets and report forms are attatched. A map of the watershed showing the wetlands and the water courses is also attached.
