It is expected that the series will be a convenient means for supplying information on the current status of muskrat populations in the project area to Ducks Unlimited (Canada) and other wildlife agencies. This report serves as an update to the original monitoring plan which was introduced in Technical Report Number 3 (Muskrat habitat and population monitoring in the Cumberland Marshes project; July 2, 1980). As baseline information accumulates and the program expands, future progress reports will become increasingly comprehensive in the scope of data analysis and management recommendations.
