The fact book is designed so that the knowledge of each species can be expanded as more of the literature is surveyed. In addition, new species can also be added to the report. The fact book has been arranged according to plant species. Under each species are 11 categories relating to their characteristics and requirements. Consequently, information concerning specific requirements (water levels, soil types, etc.) of the plants can be referred to quickly. The literature contains inconsistencies and contradictions which are reflected in this report. Therefore, one must use his own judgement when using the information provided. If more detailed information is required, reference should be made to the specific publications listed in the bibliography.
