This situation has not changed in the past three years and in fact the conflicts have intensified. The plan also expressed a degree of optimism with regard to a greater awareness by citizens and government of the need for conservation and for expanded programs of wildlife conservation at the Federal and Provincial Government levels. Although there may have been an increased awareness in recent years it has certainly not been translated into increased programs at the Government level.
