The proposed marsh development consists of a system of low level dyke-channel with concrete stoplog and metal culvert control structures to regulate the water level in the marsh cell to create a more suitable nesting and feeding habitat for the propagation of waterfowl. The purpose of the work was to determine the general subsurface soil condition of the site and to obtain soil information sufficient to make recommendation regarding side slope requirement for dyke-channel and surcharge requirement to compensate for long term settlement.
