Material type: TextPublication details: 1981Online resources: Abstract: From November 5th of November 7th, 1980; 161 islands and spoil piles in five different projects were seeded with a grass mixture especially formulated for use as waterfowl nesting cover. Application of the grass seed was done utilizing a Bell 206 Jet Ranger Helicopter with a Chadwick Seeder suspended underneath. The seed was applied at a rate of 40 pounds per acre or 5 pounds per standard island.
