Hardy & Associates Ltd., Edmonton was commissioned by Mr. Ernie Ewaschuk of Ducks Unlimited to conduct a chemical analytical investigation of soil samples obtained by Ducks Unlimited from a proposed development of Verdigris Coulee southeast of Warner toward Milk River, Alberta in Township 4, Range 17 and 16; Township 3, Ranges 16 and 15; and Township 2, Ranges 15 and 14, west of the Fourth Meridian. The purpose of the investigation was to establish the dispersion and/or flocculation properties of the clay soils under an artificial lake subject to conditions of sodium salts contained within the soils.Twenty-six soils samples were obtained from Mr. Ewaschuk of May 17, 1974 from five locations within the proposed development area and were prepared for analysis.
