By: Contributor(s): Material type: TextTextPublication details: Winnipeg, MB : 1981.Description: 1 v. (various pagings) : maps ; 28 cmOnline resources: Abstract: An engineering concept has been developed for the Reader-Root Complex which would provide the capability for water level control as recommended in the BSG report The Reader-Root Complex -- Waterfowl Production Potential and Management Recommendations, July 1979. The proposed works would dramatically increase production from approximately 100,000 acres of marsh -- it is estimated that water level control would produce approximately 832,000 to 1,004,730 ducks during a 30 year project life depending on the marsh operation. The program proposed here will provide the capability for water level control only. Internal works to provide a further increase in production, as recommended in the 1979 report, could be carried out at a future date.
