Lidcliff Marsh Proposal Manitoba. Ducks Unlimited Canada

By: Material type: TextTextPublication details: MB : 1983Online resources: Abstract: The Lidcliff Marsh complex is one of western Manitoba's finest waterfowl marsh complexes. A minimum development proposal at a cost of $190,000 is presently under construction to identify wildlife interest in the area and to improve waterfowl production. An optimum development proposal has been identified which would provide better long term security, increase the size of the marsh from 1600 acres to 2030 acres, improve water depths and increase the waterfowl production. The optimum proposal will require a further expenditure of $400,000 on physical works plus $142,000 on land acquisition covering 5 quarter sections. The cost per duck, including present and future development costs and land acquisition in $8.03 over 21 years.
