Of a secondary consideration was the impact of settlement under various conditions and surcharges. Vegetative cover was classified on all islands as well as incidental bird use. The investigation was restricted to the prairie and parkland biomes of the three prairie provinces wherein 7 projects were inspected in Manitoba,14 in Saskatchewan and 2 in Alberta.
