Electric fence controls for beaver problems. P. Desmond

By: Material type: TextTextPublication details: ABOnline resources: Abstract: This internal report was prepared on Beaver Control using Electric Fence technology, following recommendations outlined in the original beaver control report #1 an overview of method and costs. This report covers installation procedures, equipment required, available supplies cost estimate per installation and evaluates success rates to date. Different methods and equipment associated with electric fence installations are still in the experimental stages. Future techniques look promising as problems associated with limited site visits and shorting of the system are over/come. One installation method ued in Grande Prairie and St.Paul is proving very successful in reducing project operation costs, and similar approaches in the Maritimes have proven effective.
