The study would seek to identify and describe in physical terms the functions of natural and managed wetlands, and to determine the economic values associated with the many benefits provided to Canadian business, industry, and society.In addition, a comparative breakdown by province, ecological region, and rural/urban area is desired, and recommendations are to be made on improving the information base and conducting further research on wetlands in Canada.
