(some col.) , map ; 28 cmOnline resources: Abstract: Late in 1987, at the annual Provincial Engineers and Biologists meetings, the issue of beaver problems and control was discussed. It was recognized that beavers were causing considerable problems in certain areas of the country. In an attempt to determine the extent of beaver concern, a committee of two (Peter Fearson, Project Engineer and Keith McAloney, Provincial Biologist, Amherst) was established to examine the issue, and produce a report. The intent of this resulting report is to present a review of costs and an inventory of all commonly employed beaver control techniques. The report is a first phase in an evolving process of study and documentation to narrow the selection of solutions to a time consuming and expensive water level control problem.
